New year, new.....blog? Yes!
This year, I'll be writing a blog post every month. At least, that's my goal. But, let's get real: like anything in business, achieving goals isn't as much about "Let's try really hard. Be persistent and we'll hit our numbers."
Goals are achieved when systems are put in place. Effective systems must account for changing conditions, distractions, and waning attention. As everything around you changes and you attempt to adapt, personal motivation to meet your goal can't be the only driving force. A system is essential to make that goal a reality.
A system isn't graded on your ambition. A system ensures things get done automatically. It reduces effort and thrives on automation. It removes manual intervention and moves like a flywheel. This blog is a test to the system I'll put in place to get this done, every month.
I hope you find value in the content of this blog. The above commentary regarding systems also applies to your personal life, of course. If you set any New Year's resolutions, you realize setting up a system will ensure a higher probability of success than just a "hope and a prayer." As we dive into this blog throughout the year, I hope you gain value for both your business and your personal life.
The topics of this blog will, of course, be supply chain and logistics focused but will also span to small business and general life topics. I love technology so I'll throw in a little tech here and there, too. I am open to your feedback if you would like to see anything specific.
Although this is my second post (see the SMDRA Toy Drive post back in December), I'll call this the first official post. I'll keep this one short but here's a teaser of what you should see in the coming months:
- About Me (I know....boring, but I thought it might be useful to see who's behind these posts)
- Different types of courier models and how you can leverage them in your business
- How I use AI to make my everyday business life easier
- Enhancing customer service through transparency
- The best courier vehicle(s)
- Industry, business, and workplace trends that we're seeing
- Much, much more!
At Crystal Courier, we thrive on creating repeatable systems that drive reliability for our customers. Handling nearly 1,500 packages a day, without unwavering systems in place, we wouldn't be able to reliably perform for our customers. I know your business is the same and I'm curious:
- What system(s) have you put in place this year to up your game? Leave us a comment to let us know!
